About the manufacturer:

The history of KTM goes back a long way. The company was founded by Hans Trunkenpolz in 1938 in the town of Mattighofen, Austria. The first bicycles rolled off the production line in America in 1964. This was the KTM Fleetwing, where the company already had around 220 employees. They have gone through many developments over the years, the first ebike was introduced in 2009. Today, it has grown into one of the largest companies on the market and is mainly engaged in the production of pedelecs. KTM tries to serve all levels, as their bicycle range includes solutions for all uses, from mountain bikes to comfortable touring bikes to children's and folding bikes.

How the bike is used:

MTBs are characterized by a solid structure and thick, 27.5” and 29” wheels, which make them suitable for off-road cycling, but these bicycles are not optimal for long-distance road travel. They do not have a luggage rack or kickstand, and their retrofitting is not always possible.

About the engine:

The new Bosch Performance Line CX engine has received significant improvements, while the main specifications have been have remained unchanged. The motor provides 85 Nm of torque and 600 W of peak power, and its maximum assistance is 340%. Its weight has been reduced by 100 grams compared to its predecessor, so it is now 2.7 kg. The latest sensors measure the torque acting on the pedal 1,000 times per second. Thanks to the new motor seals, the motor has almost no resistance when switched off.

About the display:

The Bosch Kiox 500 has the same capabilities as the 300 series, but its display is 40% larger than its predecessor. Thanks to its free navigation function, you can plan your desired route with the Flow app, view fitness data, use it as a "key" to your bike, and customize your function screens, i.e. everything you need for a great tour.
