About the manufacturer:
The history of KTM goes back a long way. The company was founded by Hans Trunkenpolz in 1938 in the town of Mattighofen, Austria. The first bicycles rolled off the production line in America in 1964. This was the KTM Fleetwing, where the company already had around 220 employees. They have gone through many developments over the years, the first ebike was introduced in 2009. Today, it has grown into one of the largest companies on the market and is mainly engaged in the production of pedelecs. KTM tries to serve all levels, as their bicycle range includes solutions for all uses, from mountain bikes to comfortable touring bikes to children's and folding bikes.
How the bike is used:
Cross bikes represent a transition between MTB and touring bikes. They can be used on gentler terrain, but they can also be used on asphalt. Like mountain bikes, these models do not have the equipment necessary for everyday use, as they are primarily designed for sports purposes, but these accessories can be installed optionally. If you like hiking, but also occasionally take to the forest trails, then this category is for you.
About the motor:
The new Bosch Performance Line CX motor has received significant improvements, while the main specifications have remained unchanged. The motor delivers 85 Nm of torque and 600 W of peak power, and its maximum assistance is 340%. Its weight has been reduced by 100 grams compared to its predecessor, so it now weighs 2.7 kg. The latest sensors measure the torque acting on the pedals 1,000 times per second. Thanks to new motor seals, the motor has almost no resistance when switched off.
About the display:
The Bosch Purion 200 display features numerous new developments. The display boasts a 1.6-inch color screen and high resolution, which ensures excellent readability. Its ergonomic design places it close to the left handlebar, which allows for comfortable use. The Purion 200 offers various functions, such as displaying speed, cycling time, distance, total distance, current assistance level and remaining battery capacity. The integrated ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the display brightness according to the ambient light conditions. It can also be used with compatible additional displays, such as the Kiox 300 or Kiox 500. The Purion 200 is part of the Bosch Smart System, which allows you to activate and use digital functions via the eBike Flow app.
