IMPORTANT! Our colleagues at the store will be able to help you select the ideal bicycle size for you, but we will be able to calculate an approximate bike frame size based on your height and your standover height (i.e. your inner thigh length).
How to measure your standover height?
- You will need a larger-size book and a measuring tape.
- Stand up straight against the wall so that your heels, your buttocks and your shoulders all touch the wall. Your feet should be about 15 cm apart.
- Straddle the book as if you were sitting on a saddle. The shorter side of the book should meet the wall; this way the book’s spine will be parallel to the floor.
- Measure the height of the book’s upper spine from the floor, this will be the standover height. (The red line in the picture.) This is necessary because in most cases our body frame is not completely proportionate, so the ideal bike size may be different even for two people of the same height.
